- Bigger the video size, better is the quality:- Now while downloading any video, if you are concerned about the quality, then you may try to find the video with a larger size value cause till now you may be knowing that bigger the video size, better is the quality, but my friends, this is not always true because it depends upon the website from where you are downloading the video. In many websites, they attach some additional files to make the size larger and the lower quality videos also become larger in size.
- Gmail and Facebook services are NOT free:- Well, not only Gmail or Facebook but many other services that different apps provide seems to be free but actually, they are NOT! Let's take the example of YouTube. You may think that since you can stream videos here for free this application is completely free of cost. But guys this is not true, you must have seen Ads often being played at the beginning of any video and here is the twist. These kinds of applications earn money from these ads. Now as we pay to buy internet data, these ads run by consuming the internet data and in this way, indirectly, we pay to use such applications.
- We should not charge our phone overnight:- Now this is one the most common myth that we all have heard at least once from our so-called smart friends but actually, in our today's world, this is a big myth. Today, in most of the phones we get a special feature for this and with the help of this feature, when the phone reaches its maximum battery capacity, it automatically cuts-off the connection and prevents the battery to get charged further. When the battery capacity becomes full, the phone starts using the direct connection from the charger as the power source instead of the battery.
- Incognito Mode Completly hides your activities:-You must have seen the option of incognito mode on various browsers for example Chrome. You might think that if you switch to incognito mode, you become completely invisible and then whatever you do, will not be visible or tracked by anyone. But my friends, this is NOT true. If we take the example of Chrome browser, where if you enable the incognito mode, you will find certain writings that give the info of incognito mode but we often ignore these notes. And if you read, you will find that it's clearly mentioned that the pages you visit in incognito mode will not be added to your browser's history, cookie store or search history BUT it's also mentioned that your browsing is NOT hidden from your employers, your internet service provider or the website you visit. And this does not make you completely invisible.
- Phone slows down after software update:- Well, we all have heard this from people that their phone slowed down after they updated their phone and often we ourself believe this. We think that this is a plan made by the phone company so that we buy their new models. But guys, this is again a myth and this is not true. There may be some other reason for your phone's poor performance. It may be because you downloaded some virus infected apps or your storage capacity is full.
- There is another reason for this, many companies create new updates only for there newly launched phones which are capable of new features and updated technology but if you download them on your old phones which are incapable of holding those updates, its performance reduces.
So these were few of the tech myths that we all have heard and we have been following a few of them. Now after reading till here, you must be cleared about those myths and now you need not follow them or advise others to do so.
